Drums, synths, samples & effects. MIDIseq can control it all, simultaneously. 8 MIDI channels with optional scale quantisation and pitch bend give you the freedom to precisely sequence anything you can throw at it. Modulate any controllable parameter in Ableton Live with audio-rate modulation.
Independent clock dividers for trigs, velocity and parameters. These can either be sync’d to Ableton’s transport or run wild with their own last step, clock division and playback modes. Manually or automatically resync these independently or collectively on the next bar, beat or 16th with the reset controls.
You decide how your modulation behaves. With per step control over parameter slides and an option for “all slide” you can choose between stepped or smooth slide behaviour at every step. Combined with the independent slide rise and fall time settings for each parameter and any modulation shape is possible. Optionally tweak further by scaling or delaying the modulation output with the modDepth and modDelay settings.
Probability controls the chance each trigger or parameter has of firing.
Microtiming determine whether a step triggers sooner or later than straight timing.
Trig & Param Conditions allow cyclical variations without increasing the step count. Trigs & Params can have independent conditions set.
Trig Length set the trigger length for the current step. This determines how long each note is held.
Ratchets set the number of ratchets for the current step. Combine with ratRamp, ratClust and trigLength for time ramping and velocity ramping, enabling easy bouncing ball effects which can vary on each step.
Slide applies a slide to the current step’s parameter value. Decide between smooth or stepped modulation at each step.
Each of the 8 channels can have up to 64 steps. Each of these steps can have any of the above trig locks simultaneously applied. Velocity has it’s own lane with a setting for default velocity, offering maximum flexibility of per step velocity aswell as optional decoupling of velocity from note triggers. RGB indicators above and below each step represent the currently applied trig / param locks. Craft your pattern one step at time.
Leave the chains of the piano roll behind and let creativity flow with the benefits of traditional X0X style sequencing, supercharged with the precision of modern tech upgrades. Groovy, organic and evolving rhythms are the staple diet of MIDIseq’s “all you can sequence” buffet.
Get precise control of your modulation quickly. Works exactly how you’d expect it to. Choose whether your values hold until the next trig or are updated on the next step. Each one of the 8 channels has 8 parameter lanes for modulation. Totaling 64 independent modulation sources.
Record step automation for instant modulation which can be manipulated after recording. Choose between the organic LFO or manual dial input and whether modulation is smooth or steppy. Maximum step count is 64 and this can be extended further with the independent clock dividers.
Control 30,000+ parameters with a compact & intuitive interface that dynamically updates based on the currently selected track, parameter and step. Forget about the complexity and focus on the creativity.
Microtiming. Slides. Ratchets with optional time & velocity ramping. Probability. Trig Conditions. Param Conditions. Take full control of your sequence on a per step basis. RGB indicators above and below each step show whether a trig lock is currently set.
Copy, paste or reset a single step’s trig lock or across the whole pattern. This enables surgical building of patterns or performance excursions that can return home whenever you choose. Happy with your pattern? Store it permanently into one of the 64 slots for recalling or morphing later.
Everything is more fun when you can touch it. All controls are MIDI and Key mappable for your favorite controller. Ableton Push also has banks support for the key controls, laid out in a thoughtful manner.
